Do not be too busy to take on additional projects or stand in for an absent colleague if the timing does not get in the way of your present duties. Endeavor to get comfortable with new work pressures.
- Focus on results and not just tasks: It is not how many duties you get involved in, but how productive you were on it. Do not laze around duties. Strive to have quantitative results on your tasks.
- Behave professionally: Work place is a place to work. Do not miss deadlines, do not forget to respond to emails , do not be reminded to follow up when you need to. Spending company time on staff gossips, or browsing the web with your private tasks in mind should not be. Overall, do what you are paid to do.
- Upgrade your skills: Whether you are involved in the domestic or corporate sector, if there are some aspects of your work that needs to be upgraded, then upgrade.
